You will explore the unique landscape of Lake Natron, a salt and alkaline lake in the Gregory Rift. Despite its high temperatures (up to 60°C) and salinity, the lake is home to incredible species, including endemic algae, invertebrates, and birds. Most notably, it serves as the primary breeding ground for 2.5 million Lesser Flamingos in East Africa.

Your day includes a thrilling 3-4 hour hike with a Maasai guide, visiting the flamingo breeding grounds and nearby waterfalls. The hike is adventurous, with river crossings, stunning gorges, and a refreshing swim at the waterfall—don’t forget good shoes and swimwear!

Afterward, you will head back to Arusha, reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and landscapes of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Natron. Arriving in Arusha marks the end of this incredible journey through Tanzania's natural wonders.
