Day 2

Today, you will drive south to the jungle of Kibale in preparation for chimp trekking. Kibale offers a premier chimp tracking and the best Africa has to offer. You will have lunch along the way. You can choose to relax at the lodge or take a guided walk through the community after the long drive.

Day 3

Chimp trekking in Kibale forest (AM) & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park a tropical rainforest or you can call it the Primate Capital of the world with 13 species of primates and check in for a briefing. You will later on be divided into small groups and enter the forest with a Park ranger. This activity usually takes around three hours including a full hour of their company. You are advised to carry enough drinking water. After Lunch, you will explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary offering and an opportunity to see birds, monkeys and other creatures.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park and have a game drive. Queen Elizabeth is the most bio diverse national park with a bird checklist of 610 species, 95 mammal species and around 10 primate species. A game drive here offers an opportunity to see African safari favorites like lions, leopards, Elephants and much more!

Today begins with an early morning game drive in search of more wildlife like antelopes, many species of primates. After lunch you will go for a Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and after that, you will go for an afternoon game drive to look for animals. There is an opportunity to see animals like elephants, lions, leopard and lots of birds.

After breakfast, you shall proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. On your way to Bwindi, you will visit the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National park called Ishasha famously known for its Tree Climbing Lions. You will have lunch along the way.

Day 7

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest. A rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After the trek, you will be transfered to Kisoro in preparation for golden monkey trekking.

Some consider this as the next best thing after gorilla trekking. You will be allowed one hour with these beautiful Albertine rift endemics. After the activity, you will be transferred back to the lodge to relax!

Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, Have a game drive on your way in. this is the smallest savannah park but heavily populated. Its gives good break from a gorilla safari or even a fresh start for a safari depending on the route plan of your Safari. As you drive through easy to see are Zebras, Impalas, Waterbucks and the list goes on. Please note that on a good day you can see a leopard but better still during the night game drive which can be arranged.
