Today you be picked up from Kigali International Airport/ hotel by a representative of Big Apes Africa and transferred to Musanze town near Volcanoes National Park in preparation for your Golden Monkey tracking experience. Should you arrive in plenty of time, you'll do a city tour and visit the Genocide Memorial Museum.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park for a briefing before entering the forest to search for the bamboo-associated primates. Some consider this as the next best thing after gorilla trekking. You will be allowed one hour with these beautiful Albertine rift endemics. After the activity, you will be transferred to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Community Visit

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. For 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After gorilla tracking, you'll relax at the lodge or take a community visit.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your way, you will take a drive through Ishasha the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth famous for its tree-climbing lions. After the drive, you will immediately proceed to the Northern Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will have lunch along the way.

After an early breakfast, you'll head for a game drive in search of animals like elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, and more. This is the most bio-diverse park yet not the biggest with a mammal checklist of 95 species 610 species of birds and much more. After lunch, you'll head to the southern part of the park for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel with chances of seeing elephants drinking water, hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and more.

Chimpanzee Trekking Kalinzu Forest Reserve Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you'll drive to Kalinzu Forest managed by the National Forest Authority where you will do chimpanzee tracking. After chimpanzee tracking, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park. You'll have a game drive on your way in. This is the smallest savannah park but heavily populated. It gives a good break from a gorilla safari or even a fresh start for a safari depending on the route plan of your Safari. As you drive through easy to see are zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and the list goes on. Please note that on a good day, you can see a leopard but better still during the night game drive which can be arranged.

Walking Safari, Travel to Entebbe

Today begins with coffee and a walking safari into the wild ake Mburo in search of wildlife. After the adventure, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you will embark on your return journey. You will have a lunch stop at the Equator and proceed to Entebbe to start your journey back home.
