Today begins with the Bigodi Swamp walk that offers some of the finest birding and monkey viewing in Uganda. This 4.5km circuit offers an opportunity to see forest and swamp specials and a good number of monkeys. After here, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a possible evening game drive in search of wildlife. Lunch will be eaten en-route.

After breakfast, drive to Kalinzu Forest managed by National Forest Authority where you will do chimpanzee tracking. After Chimpanzee tracking, you will have an UWA boat cruise and evening game drive. You have a chance to see elephants, lions, leopards and many more! Arrange with your guide to do another game drive if you are not exhausted.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to be enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight, led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After gorilla tracking, relax at the lodge or take a community visit.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Game Drive

Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and have a game drive on your way in. This is the smallest savannah park but heavily populated. It gives you a good break from the gorilla safari or even a fresh start for a safari depending on the route plan of your safari. As you drive through you're likely to see zebras, impalas, waterbucks and the list goes on. Please note that on a good day, you can see a leopard, or better still during the night game drive which can be arranged.
