After settling in, you will start driving to Karatu. Along the way, you’ll take in the scenic views of the grassland plains speckled with ancient baobab trees, traditional Maasai houses, and cattle being herd by the nomadic people. You’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the Great African Rift Valley before resting up for the next day’s adventures followed by dinner and overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn.

Day 2

To Serengeti National Park Enroute Ngorongoro Conservation Area Views
Today you’ll get up close and personal with one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites—the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This unique multi-use site is one of the only in the world where man, livestock and wildlife live together in harmony. You will continue to head towards the Serengeti, enjoying a lovely scenic drive with views of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. During the legendary migration periods, the southern plains of the Serengeti are home to approximately 1.7 million wildebeest, more than 800,000 zebras and 200,000 Thomson gazelles. The migration uses the land as a calving ground due to the high calcium and potassium level in the plains, which are essential for milk production. You’ll continue on your drive with game viewing en route before arriving at the camp for dinner and rest.

You have a full day of excursions in the Serengeti today enjoying morning and afternoon game drives from the camp. The centre of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals before returning to camp for the night.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Enjoy morning game drives in the Serengeti. Afterwards, you'll descend into the crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch midday. Often considered the 8th Wonder of the World, the crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big bulls of elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebras, Thomson and Grant gazelles, hippos African Cape buffalos, pride of lions, hyenas, serval cats, golden and black-backed jackals, and close to 400 species of bird.

Day 5
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
This morning you will drive to Tarangire National Park with your safari guide for a full-day game drive. You’ll see first-hand all that Tarangire National Park is known for—the famous baobab tree, tree-climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants. After a picnic lunch, you’ll resume your afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter other animals such as lions, giraffes, and zebras. Afterwards, you’ll will continue driving to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar or back home.
