Arrival/Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be welcomed by your Nature in Spirit Travel driver guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your time of arrival in Tanzania, you can decide for yourself, on the spot, if you would like to receive a short safari briefing with your guide on the same day or the next morning.
The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure. Enjoy the hotel, relax and get ready for your Tanzanian adventure!

Lake Manyara National Park/ Cultural Experience

After breakfast, at 8:00, you will depart the hotel and drive towards Mto wa mbu, a small vibrant village with different culture as it is home to people from more than 120 tribes. You will take a walk through the banana and rice plantation, meet the locals and learn how this people conduct their normal daily activities. You will have hot local lunch at Mto wa Mbu a very good opportunity to explore Tanzanian dishes.

After lunch you will drive to Lake Manyara national park for an afternoon game drive famously known as the home to tree climbing lions. In this small but very beautiful park with the dense forest, you will have the opportunity to see lots of monkeys, giraffes, elephants, impalas, dik-dik, flamingos in the lake, and if you are lucky, you may spot the rare tree-climbing lions. Late afternoon, at 17:00 you will continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart lodge at 7:00 with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected multiple land use for human and wild animals that coexist in harmony. This is also the world’s largest inactive caldera believed to have been with the same height as Mt Kilimanjaro which drastically collapsed due to volcanic activities forming the now seen Caldera.

The crater has a good number of wildlife, and it is another good place to see the rare black rhino. You will get to witness a vast number of different wild animals and during the game drive as the crater is self-sustaining ecosystem hence animals do not move in search for food or water.
At around 17:00 you will drive back to lodge; upon arrival you will have time to freshen up and join your fellow travelers for a nightcap in the bar as you wait for dinner.

Drive to Arusha / Transfer to the airport

After a relaxing breakfast you will start your journey to Arusha. You will stop at Shanga Gift and Workshop, social enterprise, which employs people with disabilities to create unique and high-quality handmade jewelry, glassware and homewares incorporating recycled materials. These products are sold in the Shanga shop in Tanzania, with profits being reinvested back into developing opportunities to employ more people with disabilities. You will have lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge before you transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight back home.
