Day 1

Nairobi-Meru National Park

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and drive to Meru national pack which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants, Grevy’s Zebra, Eland, Bush Pig, Waterbuck, Cheetah, Leopard, Reticulated Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Bohor Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Python, Puff Udder, Cobra, Buffalo, more than 427 recorded species of birds. Check in and have lunch at your lodge/camp. In the afternoon, another game drive at the park later. Dinner and overnight at Ikweta Safari camp.

Day 2

Meru National Park

Meru National Park

We spend a full day in the Meru National Park on morning and afternoon game drives. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck, and Gravy Zebra. Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet Monkeys, and Warthog. You may see Wild dogs, Bush babies, Caracal, cheetahs, civets, Dik-dik, leopards, otters, Bush pigs, and Porcupine, Black, and White rhinos. The rivers abound with hippos and Crocodiles. Bird life includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings, and numerous Weavers. Dinner and overnight stay at Ikweta Safari Camp.

Day 3

Meru-Samburu National Reserve

An option of indulging in a pre-breakfast game drive before going back to the camp for a sumptuous breakfast. After breakfast, check out and drive to Samburu National reserve. Arrive for lunch in Ashnil Camp / Sopa Lodge, relax later go for afternoon Game drive.

Day 4

Samburu

After breakfast we head for a full day game drive which will be spent exploring this amazing game reserve. You will have a chance to see concentration of the elephants as well as Leopards and especially along the river. The whole day will be spent exploring the park with picnic lunch for the whole day game drive. Dinner and overnight in Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 5

Samburu-Nairobi

Samburu-Nairobi

Wake up early in the morning, then proceed for the early morning game drive, this gives you a chance to spot the early morning Kills from the big five, after the game drive return to the camp for the main breakfast, there after leave and head back to Nairobi with a stopover in Nanyuki for lunch. Arrive Nairobi late afternoon with a drop off to the hotel or to the airport.
