Following breakfast at Africa Safari Arusha, you'll embark on this journey that can span up to 6 hours, providing you with a glimpse of Tanzania's diverse landscapes. As you traverse the Rift Valley and head towards Lake Natron, you'll observe the transition from lush greenery to arid and dusty terrain. Along the way, you'll encounter Masai villages, which gradually recede into the distance. As you proceed north, the landscape becomes dotted with remnants of ancient volcanoes, including Ol Doinyo Lengai, known as the "Mountain of God" in the Masai language. This volcano remains one of the few active ones in the region, and you may even witness its smoke rising into the sky upon reaching Lake Natron. Your night will be spent in the comfort of Africa Safari Lake Natron accommodations.

Today, prepare for a morning adventure as a Maasai man leads you on a guided walk along the shores of Lake Natron to observe the lesser flamingos. Lake Natron is a crucial breeding site for these flamingos in East Africa, and during the breeding season, it can host up to 2.5 million of them. The main breeding period occurs from September to January, with the peak taking place between October and early December. Due to the lake's highly alkaline waters, there are limited bird species present apart from the flamingos.
Around midday, you'll depart from Lake Natron and head to Karatu. This drive can last up to 4 hours, offering a chance to witness the ever-changing landscapes of Tanzania. The arid and dry scenery will gradually give way to the greener and more lush surroundings of the Rift Valley. By late afternoon, you'll arrive at Africa Safari Karatu, where you can enjoy dinner and a restful night's sleep.

After a restful night's sleep, it's time to depart. Following your final game drive, your vehicle will transport you to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha Airport. As you board the aircraft, your journey is drawing to a close, but you can still enjoy stunning views while flying over Serengeti National Park and witnessing the ever-changing landscapes of the Great Rift Valley from above. When you land at Arusha Airport, you'll have a camera filled with pictures to share with loved ones and a treasure trove of unforgettable memories from your African adventure!
