Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

We’ll pick you up and bring you to nearby Wilson Airport for a quick trip north to Samburu National Reserve. You will enjoy the morning light from the air as you take in Kenya’s fields, forests, and the great form of Mount Kenya. Upon touching down in Samburu, you'll be met by our guide who will immediately transfer you to your camp for lunch. After lunch, you will go for afternoon game drives. This big park is popular but not overly toured so you’ll often feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. Later, you will drive back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu National Reserve (Full-Day)

You will have breakfast in your camp then embark on a mid-day game drive. Later, you'll drive back for lunch. After lunch, you will enjoy evening game drives at around 4 o'clock for two hours. All the big game make their home here including lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, and unusual and endangered species like the Beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, and gerenuks. Samburu is also home to the Samburu people, indigenous communities closely related to the Maasai. You will have a chance to visit their villages and learn about their culture firsthand. Later, you will drive back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will have breakfast at the camp, and hop aboard your next plane for the scenic trip flight south to the Masai Mara where our second guide will meet you. You'll then be transferred to your camp in our private 4x4 Land Cruiser. After freshening up and enjoying lunch, you’ll embark on your first game drive on your four-day span in the park. The look here is greener than at Samburu and you’ll love the distinctive acacia trees accenting the park’s deep rolling hills. The game sightings will be varied and plentiful as the Mara is known for its many lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other wildlife species. You will then drive back to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve (Full Days)

Over your two days in this park, you’ll see the wildlife from dozens of viewpoints and learn about this great and active natural environment. If you are here from July through October, you’ll witness incredible hordes of grazers—wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles pouring into the park on their yearly trek for food and water—the Great Wildebeest Migration. All meals and accommodation will be at your camp.
