Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake located at the base of the western Rift Valley escarpment. The park boasts a remarkable variety of habitats within a small area. Upon entering the park, visitors will encounter a beautiful groundwater forest. Other habitats in the area include a grassy floodplain, rocky escarpment, and acacia woodland, all of which can be explored in just half a day. As you go deeper into the park, you can also visit the hot springs and enjoy an all-day game drive.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti is one of the most famous national parks, known for its wildlife and classic African scenery. It is Tanzania's oldest park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is renowned for its spectacular wildebeest migration and offers year-round wildlife viewing opportunities. Each year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle migrate from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. If you are on safari at the right time, you will encounter sights of vast herds of wildebeest and zebra stretching as far as the eye can see to the horizon. We will do a half-day game drive in the Serengeti during the day.

Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti
The Serengeti National Park offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities. You can easily spot all the major safari animals, including cheetahs and four of the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalos, and leopards). However, sightings of rhinos are rare, and only black rhinos are present in the park. In addition to the big cats, you can see many other predators, such as spotted hyenas, especially in the morning. A full-day game drive increases your chances of seeing a variety of animals.

Ngorongoro Crater and Migombani Campsite
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive from Simba Campsite to the Ngorongoro Crater. A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Few places have wildlife densities and variety at this level. It is not unusual to see the Big Five in one day! All the major safari animals occur in great numbers. The resident population of black rhinos is a real treat, as rhinos are very difficult to spot elsewhere in Tanzania. The height of the crater wall is 600m (2,000ft) high.

Migombani Campsite to Tarangire National Park then to Arusha
After breakfast, we will drive to Tarangire National Park, where you can see herds of up to 300 elephants searching for water in the dry riverbeds. You will also spot migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland around the shrinking lagoons. Keep an eye out for mongoose colonies in the abandoned termite mounds. While all the main predators are present, they are not as easily spotted due to the thick vegetation compared to other parks in northern Tanzania.
