Serengeti National park
The day will be dedicated to a thrilling game drive in the Serengeti. The locations you visit will depend on the current movement of the migrating herds, as predators tend to follow close behind. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds migrate from the northern hills to the southern plains. In the longer rainy season from April to June, they move back up to Central Serengeti, while from July to October, they are found in the northern part of the park. The migration is influenced by rainfall, so the exact locations of the herds may vary each year, but your guide will be well-informed on where to find the best sightings. Along with wildebeests and zebras, you'll also have the chance to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as the other members of the Big Five.

Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, we head to the Ngorongoro Crater, where we descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive. This stunning area, supported by a year-round water supply and lush vegetation, is home to a wide array of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. The crater is also teeming with predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can sometimes be difficult to spot without a trained eye. Notably, the Ngorongoro Crater offers some of the best opportunities to see black rhinos compared to other parks. We will also visit Lake Magadi, a large, shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, home to flamingos and hippos. Beyond the wildlife, the park’s breathtaking landscape and stunning caldera make it a truly unforgettable experience. After a picnic lunch, we will leave the Ngorongoro Crater and return to Arusha, Moshi, or the airport.
