Day 1

Hotel Pick-up and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, afternoon boat cruise

Our professional safari driver will pick you up from your Hotel in Kampala with an air-conditioned vehicle and drive you to Lake Mburo National Park via the scenic Kampala-Masaka route. Enroute, we will make a stop at Uganda Equator for 30 minutes of photography.
Four hours later, we will arrive Lake Mburo National Park and begin the game drive right away while connecting to the Lodge. Encounter different animals such as buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, Defassa waterbucks, impalas, vervet monkeys, warthogs, Topis and many others. Have Lunch at the reserved Lodge and then head for the afternoon boat ride that lasts about 2 hours. Return to the Lodge with fresh memories from the game drive and boat ride, with cold/warm shower and hot meal waiting your arrival.

Day 2

After breakfast, enjoy a fun-filled game drive through Lake Mburo’s game tracks where several buffaloes, zebras, Rothschild giraffes, warthogs, Topis, olive baboons, impalas and other attractions will be encountered along the game tracks.
Drive back to the lodge for lunch, then check-out and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You should arrive at the reserved lodge in Bwindi in the evening where you will settle-in, refresh, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Your tour guide will pick you up from the Lodge early enough for briefing at the Park headquarters. At 8:00am begin the trek for gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with several stops to see captivating bird species. Your group guide will ensure that you identify as many animals and birds as possible during the trek in addition to providing exciting facts and information on the mountain gorillas and the Park itself. With luck, you will see the chimpanzees in Bwindi forest but after 1-6 hours, be sure to see the highlight of your safari-Mountain gorillas.
After spending one hour with the mountain gorillas, return to the Lodge in the late afternoon for lunch and spend the evening at leisure. Refreshment, dinner and overnight will be enjoyed at the same lodge as day two.

Day 4

Transfer back to Kampala

Transfer back to Kampala

Bid Bwindi Forest goodbye and the driver will be ready to transfer you back to Kampala in the same air-conditioned 4WD Vehicle. Stop a number of times during the road transfer for en-route lunch and to stretch your legs (given this is an 8-9 hours’ journey). This marks the end of this 4 days Lake Mburo & Bwindi Gorilla safari.
