Day 1

Upon your arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the Shearwater Explorers Village for check-in. Enjoy the ride in one of our air-conditioned minibuses. Our transfers are also very informative, with introductory information about Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls. Your guide will assist with check-in at the hotel.

At 15h50, we will pick you up for a luxury sunset boat cruise. It is only a short drive from the lodge to the jetty site. Snacks and drinks are served whilst you enjoy the cruise. The boat will go upstream and further downstream, where you can spot the smoke from Victoria Falls. You can spot abundant wildlife and birds while they come to drink from the Zambezi River.

You will return for an overnight stay at Shearwater Explorers Village.

Day 2

Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park

Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park

You will have breakfast at the Elephant Hills Hotel. At 09h00, your guide will take you on a wonderful experience through the Victoria Falls rainforest. This journey not only affords a view of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World but also provides a great deal of interesting facts about the geology, wildlife and history of Zimbabwe's most famous landmark. The guide will also help ensure the best photographic opportunities at this breathtaking World Heritage Site.

After checkout, our guide will pick you up at 11h30 and drive you to Hwange National Park. It is a 2.5-hour drive from Victoria Falls town to Hwange National Park. On your way, your guide will provide you with information about Zimbabwe, its people and its culture. The main sighting along the way will be Hwange, a coal mining town.

Upon arrival, your guide will assist you with checking in at Hwange Safari Lodge and ensure you are all settled for your overnight stay.

Day 3

Hwange National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, you will be picked up at 08h30 for a full-day game drive.

Most animals, especially cats, are active at night until morning. Your guide will lead you to strategic points around the park, where you will enjoy and experience your full-day safari. It is one of the best game-viewing safaris and a great chance to spot the Big 5 due to the animal concentration. You will have a picnic lunch on a set platform in the park. After lunch, you will continue the game drive until 4 pm.

Your guide will drop you off at Hwange Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Hwange National Park to Matobo National Park

Hwange National Park to Matobo National Park

You will enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Your guide will transfer you by road to the Holiday Inn Hotel in Bulawayo, which is close to Matobo National Park. It will take you about 3 to 3.5 hours.

At 14h00, you will relax and prepare for a half-day Matobo tour. This is one of the popular sites for game viewing, and one of its sublime features is the Matobo National Park, with a series of granite kopjes (rock formations) and wooded valleys. The caves and crevices carved out of these rocks became home to Zimbabwe’s earliest inhabitants, the “San”. Twenty thousand years later, “San” artists began painting on the walls of caves. The park is also home to white and black rhinos. You will experience a rhino game drive, cave paintings, and the Rhodes Grave.

You can spend the rest of your day at leisure before your overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Bulawayo.

You will enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will then pick you up for a 3-hour drive to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. After checking in at the hotel, you can relax.

You will be picked up at 14h00 for the Great Zimbabwe Tour. It is a sensory overload with its contrasting diversity. Experience the ancient stone walls, a hotspot of human habitation since the dawn of time. Take time at the intricate stonework and experience the heritage and monuments of early civilization in Zimbabwe. With recorded rock art sites in the Masvingo area, the heritage of the Shona and Rozvi people is well portrayed. Explore and experience the stone walls without mortar. It is a truly glorious journey through our Shona historical sites, the history of the kings, and cave paintings. The tour lasts for 3 hours and includes hiking up to the King's quarters.

You will wake up early for breakfast at the hotel, then check out and transfer to Bulawayo Holiday Inn Hotel. You will check in, relax, and prepare for your Bulawayo City Tour in the afternoon. You can opt to do the city tour as soon as you arrive in Bulawayo so that you can relax for the rest of the day.

During the tour, you will learn and explore the history attached to Bulawayo, the second-largest city in Zimbabwe. It has a rich history of the Ndebele Kingdom, which remains one of the most dominant tribes in the country.
