1-Day Akagera National Park Drives and Boat Safari

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Our professional guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or the airport in Kigali at approximately 5:00 AM for a scenic 3-hour drive to the park. Upon arrival, your guide will assist you with the registration process. Following this, you will proceed to the morning game drive, accompanied by a professional ranger from the community. The game drive typically lasts about 2.5 hours but may extend to 6 hours depending on wildlife sightings and your interests. During the drive, you may encounter animals such as lions, zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards (if lucky), and rhinos. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. Following the boat cruise, you will return to Kigali, with an estimated arrival time of 7:30 PM. This experience promises to be an unforgettable wildlife adventure. Game drives and boat safari may be switched depending on suitability.
