Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

The safari starts from Arusha where your guide will pick you up from any location in Arusha town and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. On this day, you will enjoy the excellent view over Lake Manyara, see elephants up close in the woodlands and visit the renowned Manyara hippo pool.

The park offers a great view of the 400-meter-deep Great Rift Valley. This tear in the earth came into existence 22 to 25 million years ago when movement in a weak area of the earth’s crust led to the formation of a rift thousands of kilometers long through the whole of East Africa. The valley is so enormous it can be seen from outer space, and it has many unique landscapes that attract a vast number of different animals. Besides being home to Lake Manyara, you can also find a dense rainforest here with hundreds of groups of monkeys and a huge number of birds.
