Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Karibu!
Welcome to Tanzania. Your adventure begins with a morning departure for the Tarangire National Park – the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania. Here, you will have the opportunity to spend the afternoon spotting wildlife in a quieter location due to the lower count of visitors, but don't be fooled by the numbers because over 545 species of wild animals have been spotted at Tarangire National Park

Witness majestic herds of Elephants playing and bathing in the Tarangire River, and spot Giraffes, Buffalos, Gazelles, and Zebras in their natural habitat - an unforgettable sight that will replay in your mind's eye for a lifetime.

Your first night will be spent at the Karatu Simba Lodge for a serene night in the heart of Tanzania underneath a star-filled African sky.

Day 2

Serengeti

Serengeti

On the second day of your adventure, you will be heading towards the iconic Serengeti National Park.
The land stretches to the horizon in all directions, save from some smaller dusty towns and earthy round Maasai huts.
Once you’ve crossed into the Serengeti you’ll be on a game drive as you make your way toward camp.
There is nothing like a Tanzanian safari, and the Serengeti is a testament to that.
The southern section of the park is covered with flat or gently rolling grasslands and occasionally dotted with rock kopjes, home to good populations of resident game.
Big cats love to have a good vantage point and the kopjes provide that. Massive herds of wildebeest call this southern section home when they’re birthing before moving farther north. The Serengeti is home to a variety of landscapes, and what’s around you will depend on where you’re staying in the park, but the density of wildlife in the Serengeti is what makes this spot a favourite for the majority of adventurers who visit it.

Main Destination:
Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)
Best Weather June to October (Little to no rainfall)

Day 3

Serengeti

Serengeti

We consider this adventure our 'Essential' Tanzanian Tour because we give you the best access to all the must-see spots of Tanzania.
With this in mind, on day three of the tour, you will have an additional day to fully explore The Serengeti National Park with liberty to choose how to spend it. You can game drive far and wide, take a picnic lunch with you, or choose to explore at a leisurely pace, coming back to camp for lunch and a rest.

While The Migration is a natural phenomenon that wildlife lovers dream of seeing, there are isolated, quiet areas of the Serengeti waiting to be explored because not all animals migrate, so away from the millions of wildebeest on their journey, resident game thrives in certain areas.
Big cats are territorial and will often live in one territory throughout their lives. And elephants like to steer clear of The Migration chaos.

Day 4

Departure

Departure

The final day of the tour will begin with a hearty breakfast to prepare you for a morning of travel. We find that guests like to take this opportunity to reflect on their time with us and soak up those last moments of Tanzanian culture.

We want to ensure that your tour ends on a high - both metaphorically and literally, so you will be boarding a light aircraft bound for Kilimanjaro.

But before your flight, you have time for a final game drive.
While you'll have experienced the highs and lows of the Ngorongoro Crater, and explored two of Tanzania's famous national parks, the air-bound experience of seeing Africa's distinctive landscape from the sky is a memory that will last a lifetime.
As you climb into the sky, the giraffe roaming the plains will become smaller and smaller, before disappearing as you rise above the clouds. Your flight will land at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll catch your international flight home.
