Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up at your hotel or airport and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains known for its spectacular annual wildebeest migration. It is also home to the Big Five. Upon arrival at the AA Mara Lodge, you will have lunch and some time to relax before departing for your first game drive. The reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents in the park include the giraffes, buffalos, elands and thousands of plain game including impalas, zebras, topi, both Thomson's and Grant's gazelles and more. Later in the evening, you will return to the AA Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve- Nairobi

After an early breakfast, you will depart for an early morning game drive and back to AA lodge Mara for breakfast before leaving the reserve for Nairobi or taking an amazing sunrise optional balloon ride adventure. No matter how much you have thought about Africa, this is more than you expected. It's the ideal backdrop for an exciting optional hot air balloon expedition. You will find the Old Africa of the movies with rolling grasslands dotted by acacia trees and sweeping plains teeming with wildlife from a bird’s eye view. You will have a bush breakfast in the savannah, and later check out the reserve for Nairobi. On your way to Nairobi, you may opt to visit a Maasai village to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Later, you will drive back to your Nairobi hotel/airport which marks the end of your trip.
