Johannesburg to Kapama Private Game Reserve

We collect our guests at OR Tambo International Airport or, alternatively, a pre-arranged hotel or guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria. The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment, and through the scenic Lowveld region.

Arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve at mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Then, freshen up and relax before departing on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Your overnight stay is at Kapama Buffalo Camp, where guests dine in the lodge restaurant or at the outdoor boma.

Kapama Private Game Reserve

Wake up early, between 5:30am and 6:00am, for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. You will return to the lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart late afternoon for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush.

As the sun rises, enjoy your last game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. After the game drive, enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing mid-morning for the return journey to Johannesburg. You will arrive at OR Tambo International Airport late afternoon, approximately 5:00pm.
