After your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet with your guide and be transferred to Moshi. Here you may relax in your accommodations or begin discovering Tanzania on a tour of the city. Moshi is a popular location for the nearby Chaga tribe, who live in the surrounding areas.

Day 2

Moshi - Mkomanzi National Park

Moshi - Mkomanzi National Park

Today we will visit with black rhinos. After breakfast in the morning, your guide will pick you up and give you a short briefing before transferring you to Mkomanzi National Park. Upon arrival and after registrations, we will enter the park and begin our game drive en route to the rhino sanctuary. Here you will see rhinos at close range (something only available in this park). Other animals you can expect to see including giraffes, antelopes, zebras, elephants, and lions (if you’re lucky).

Day 3

Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro

In the morning after breakfast, you will start a journey to Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival we will complete the necessary registrations at the gate and then begin your trek. Our knowledgeable guide will inform you about Kilimanjaro and explain the different plant and animal species you will see. You will also meet mountain climbers descending from the top. Perhaps some of them will tell you about their experiences, which may inspire you to go on a climb of your own!

After a three-to-four-hour hike, you will reach the Mandara Hut (2700m), where you will have a well-earned rest and lunch. Your guide will then take you on a short hike (15 minutes) to the Maundi Crater, where you can enjoy wonderful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania, and Kenya. Once you have taken in the views, you will return to the Marangu Gate (2-3 hours walking distance). Along the way you can enjoy the sunset and the day’s memories.

Day 4

Kikuletwa Hot Springs

Maji Moto, known locally as Kikuletwa Hotsprings, is a paradisiac oasis within the Tanzanian savannah. It offers captivating views, crystal-clean water, and dense vegetation all-around. Chemka Hot Springs is also the best place to visit after climbing Kilimanjaro/Meru or going on a safari.

The Chemka oasis is a unique phenomenon—it is the only place in Tanzania (and most likely in all East Africa), where the groundwater actively interacts with geothermal sources, forming a number of small, warm lakes. After breakfast you will journey to the hot spring for unlimited swimming.

Day 5

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, our safari will continue to Tarangire National Park. The park features an abundance of natural vegetation—mainly Acacia woodland, giant African baobab trees, and huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season.

Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Other animals you might see include zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelles, olive baboon, and predators including lions, caracal, and African wild dog. This park is also home to three rare species of animals—the Greater kudu, the fringed-eared oryx, as well as a few Ashy starlings.

We will have a picnic lunch inside the park and then continue enjoying the wildlife diversity.

After breakfast we will start our journey via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Serengeti National Park, the most famous park in Tanzania. It is renowned for its boundless lowlands with great wildlife diversity, including the Great Migration, lion prides, and other raiders such as hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, and crocodiles.

After breakfast we will continue enjoying the Serengeti. The Serengeti is the most famous park in Tanzania. We will return to the hotel at midday for a hot lunch. After some refreshments we will continue with our game drives until the evening, at which point we’ll return to the hotel for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.

After breakfast we will go on an early morning game drive across the Serengeti en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will then spend the day exploring the crater and the surrounding area. This is one of the most incredible landscapes in the world. You’ll have the opportunity to admire a dormant volcano and the nature that surrounds it. In the Conservation Area you will be able to see the “Big Five:” elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, and rhinos.
