Day 1

Following breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation and driven to Tarangire National Park, with lunch boxes in tow. The journey spans approximately 110 kilometers and takes roughly two hours from Arusha.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast herds of elephants, along with excellent opportunities for viewing lions, leopards, and a diverse array of bird species. The park features a stunning landscape and a rich variety of wildlife, including the magnificent Silale Swamp situated in the park's southern region. This area is typically teeming with wildlife, taking advantage of the abundant water source. The park provides water to animals throughout the region, primarily through the Tarangire River, and it remains a crucial source of water during the dry season.
After a full day spent exploring the park, we will head to Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu town for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2

The Serengeti campsite offers a close-to-nature experience in the heart of the wilderness, with unfenced accommodations in spacious canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms. Explore the area on guided game drives or walking safaris to witness the diverse wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. Witness the annual wildebeest migration and enjoy traditional dinners under the stars. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in the wonders of the Serengeti and the rich culture of Tanzania's Maasai people.

Day 3

We will depart from the lodge before sunrise at approximately 6 am for an early morning game drive. Sunrise and sunset are the optimal times to observe wildlife, as this is when they are most active. You will witness the stunning sunrise over the endless plains of the Serengeti and embark on a game drive. We will return to the lodge at around 8 or 9 am to have breakfast.
After breakfast, you will have the option to embark on a full day game drive with lunch boxes or to remain at the lodge and relax until going on an evening game drive at around 3 pm.
Later in the day, we will return to your campsite for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Conservation Area

On this day, we will drive to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact collapsed caldera (volcano), boasting a self-contained ecosystem with its distinct wildlife population in a confined area of exceptional variety.
The crater offers an array of wildlife, including lions, hyenas, servals, Cape buffalo, zebras, and fantastic birdlife, as well as stunning landscapes. Moreover, there is an added advantage of glimpsing rhinos if you are fortunate. The lodge veranda's view is breathtaking, particularly in the morning with the early mist, thanks to the high altitude. The crater is a year-round destination.
We will have lunch within the crater before continuing with the game drive. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha, arriving at around 5 or 6 pm.

Day 5
Nungwi, Zanzibar

After breakfast, we will drive you to the Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar. Upon your arrival at the airport, one of Tales of Tanzania's drivers will meet you and drive you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Please note that the rates include a fixed budget for flights, and any additional cost incurred will be reflected in your quote.

Day 6

After your breakfast, your guide will take you on a Spice plantation tour. Zanzibar, also known as the "Spice Island," is abundant in natural blessings, including spices.
Your guide will accompany you on a delightful trip to the central part of the island from your hotel, where you will be exposed to the culinary world. You will have the opportunity to smell and taste different varieties of spices, such as Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Pepper, Curry leaves, and others.
Following the tour, you will be treated to a large, traditional meal prepared with the spices and herbs you have just learned about. Afterward, you will be driven to your hotel or resort, where the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 7-8

Today is a day to relax and enjoy yourself. You may want to visit Nungwi Beach, which is one of the most sought-after beaches in Zanzibar. The beach stands out for its unique feature of not experiencing the high and low tides like other parts of the island. It is perfect for swimming at any time of the day without walking far out to sea. Nungwi is also popular for its lively atmosphere, though it is not a typical party destination like others found around the world.

Today marks the end of your safari adventure. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Zanzibar Airport, and from there, you will catch your onward flight. Please note that the departure time will depend on your flight schedule.
