Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park

You'll be met on arrival at the airport in Nairobi or picked up from your Nairobi city hotel and driven north to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en route to Sarova Lion Hill for lunch.

In the afternoon, have a game drive. Lake Nakuru is known as a Ramsar birdsite specifically founded for the protection of black and white rhinos.

It is also a home for more than 450 species of birds including the lesser and greater flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles and many others. A safari to Lake Nakuru can offer spotting of four of the Big Five—leopard, lion, rhino and buffalo.

Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive further southwest through the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. (You'll have an optional boat ride while at Lake Naivasha).

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, and over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory. Then drive to Masai Mara with a stopover at the home town of the Masai herdsmen, Narok.

Proceed to Masai Mara and arrive at Mara Sarova Luxury Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the vast Mara plains in search of predators such the lions with dark manes, cheetahs, leopards and many herbivores, especially during the yearly migration of wildebeest between July – September.

Dinner and your overnight stay are at Mara Sarova Luxury Camp (FB).
