Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe at 7:00 am and set off on a long drive to Bwindi National Park with an en route stop over at the equator for photography and experimentation. You will poceed to Mbarara where you will have lunch before continuing to Bwindi National Park reaching early in the evening.

Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Early morning after a cup of coffee, you will transfer to the park headquarters at 7:00 a.m. with your packed lunch ready to attend the compulsory pre-tracking briefing from the park warden. You will be given the dos and don'ts while with the gorillas and then allocated the gorilla family to track based on your strength, fitness level, and any special interest. You will then enter the forest by 8:30 am to start the tracking of the gorillas, it takes one to 5 hours before meeting the gorillas, dependent on their movements on the day. A maximum of one hour is allowed in the presence of the gorillas once you have encountered them. After an hour with the gorillas, you will descend or ascend back to the starting point and get certification from the park headquarters. You will then set off a one-hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi.

In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will set off on your journey back to Kampala with en route stopover for lunch. You will reach Kampala in the evening or transfer to Entebbe in case you need to end the tour in Entebbe.
