Welcome to Zimbabwe! It's time to get your safari started, and after some minor introductory formalities, you'll start on this wonderful safari journey of discovery. It can be hard to look away from the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the most impressive sights anywhere in Africa. The wall of water, known here as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the "smoke that thunders"), is a stunning, mesmerizing view.
The transfer from the airport to your lodge takes about 25 minutes to travel 18km. After checking in, you will decide whether you spend the afternoon relaxing at the poolside (after long international flights) or if you want to explore right away. Optional activities can be arranged directly at the lodge during your stay. Otherwise, let us know of your preferences and we will make arrangements in advance.

The Chobe Riverfront could give you some of your best-ever wildlife sightings as this is where the wildlife of Chobe National Park comes down to drink. You can expect some excitement when predators are near and the prey ventures down to the water's edge. Expect really big elephants, keep an eye out for lions, and sightings of crocodiles and hippos are always possible.

Elephant Sands Game Reserve (near Nata)
Leaving in the morning so that we make the most of the day, we will start our journey toward Maun. Our next stop on the way is Elephants Sands. This is a 3-hour journey covering 255km.
If you've always dreamed of being close to elephants, you'll love Elephant Sands. Accommodation includes large safari tents and a campground, and the public areas have a bar-restaurant and a swimming pool. The main highlight here is that the whole place surrounds a waterhole where large numbers of elephants come down to drink throughout the day, making this one of the best places to see elephants anywhere. You might even see lions.
You'll love the warm light and cooler temperatures as we take you out to explore on your afternoon game drive. This time of day is when both predators and prey are most active and it can feel as though anything could happen at any moment. This is when you'll most enjoy being on safari.

Gweta (Makgadikgadi Pans National Park)
Leaving early in the morning, we'll pass through Nata, a busy crossroad town in Northeastern Botswana. Roads from here fan out across the country, heading for some of Botswana's most important towns and safari destinations. This 155km journey will take around 2 hours.
Just outside the town of Gweta and close to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, Planet Baobab is a relaxed place where the rooms and all the public areas have plenty of color and character. There's a swimming pool and a breezy bar and restaurant area. It's an excellent place to meet lots of other travelers.
You'll be exploring Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, one of Botswana's quieter and most surprising parks. The landscapes here consist of the often-dry, but wildlife-rich Boteti River in the west, and vast salt pans out in the east. Lions, brown hyenas, meerkats, and the annual zebra migration are all highlights, and the salt pans offer some remarkable views, especially at sunset.

In the morning, you will be driven to the Boro River-Morutsa Mokoro Station. Here, you will be handed over to experienced guides (local tribesmen) and a mokoro poler (traditional canoe paddler) who will lead and facilitate your excursion on their community conservation concession. You will transfer by mokoro to Okavango Island where you will explore the delta on a walking safari, enjoying great scenes. You will have your lunch, then transfer back to the station with the mokoro from where your driver will transfer you back to Maun. You will arrive at around 4 to 5 pm.
Okavango Island: You'll be exploring the Okavango Delta, one of Africa's most remarkable natural places.
