Today we will have a half-day game drive in Serengeti then after lunch, we will drive to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. There are several documented resident lion prides just within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the resident pride begins to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time for lion viewing in Central Serengeti. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Tortilis.

Ngorongoro crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro caldera very early in the morning to view the wildlife on the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and the “8th Natural Wonder of the World”. A massive extinct volcano, the sheet walls drop thousands of feet on the verdant floor below. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope, and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Later afternoon ascend from the crater and drive to the Airport.
