Nairobi Airport/Hotel - Masai Village (Masai Mara National Reserve)

On this day, you will be picked up from your hotel at either 6:00 am or 6:30 am and begin your journey to the iconic Masai Mara, a 5-6 hour drive. The drive features several scenic stops along the way, including breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, the magnificent Suswa landscape, and other picturesque locations in Kenya. Upon arriving at your budget camp, you'll check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, you'll take a drive to a traditional Masai village, immersing yourself in the vibrant culture of the Masai people. You'll learn about their livelihoods, traditions, and unique cultural norms. Afterward, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

For those who wish to extend the day's adventure, an optional game drive is available. The cost is $100 per person from January to June and $200 per person from July to December.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, we will depart at 6:00am for a full-day game drive in search of the Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. The Mara is also home to a wide variety of other species of wild animals, and early mornings are the best time to see animals on a hunt or a kill. Depending on the time of year you visit, you will also have the opportunity to experience the wildebeest migration.

We will have lunch at a spot in the park, and then we will continue with the game drive to catch a glimpse of anything we might have missed. At 3:30pm, we will depart from the Masai Mara and head back to Nairobi, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
