Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

At 8.30 am we will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Tarangire National Park with packed lunch, passing through open plains south of Arusha town. During the dry season from May to October, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem and its wetlands in the southeast portion of the park support over 300 varieties of birds. With fewer tourists than other parks, Tarangire’s rolling savannah is dotted with thousands of baobab and acacia trees offering a great chance to enjoy Africa’s wilderness and solitude. You will have a full-day game drive, dinner, and an overnight stay at Fig Big Tree Lodge.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit July to November (Animals come to the Tarangire River)

Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we'll head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we'll descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We'll head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore, attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and your overnight stay are at a public campsite.

Main Destination:
Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)
Best Weather June to October (Little to no rainfall)

You can opt to visit the famous Olduvai George (cradle of mankind). Dinner and your overnight stay are at a public campsite.

Day 4

The Ngorongoro crater

The Ngorongoro crater

After early breakfast, we will descend over 600 meters into the crater for a game drive for a half-day safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopards, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. This is the only park where you can easily see more black rhinos than any other park. We will have lunch at the picnic site. In the afternoon, after lunch, we'll depart the crater and drive back to Arusha/airport.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)
