Depart early from Nairobi, traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop for photos. Continue to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at your camp or lodge, followed by some relaxation.

In the afternoon, visit a Masai village to experience their rich culture, traditional dances, and way of life. Learn about their customs, beadwork, and livestock keeping, which are central to their heritage.

Afterward, embark on a guided nature walk led by a Masai warrior. Explore the surrounding landscape while learning about animal tracks, medicinal plants, and survival techniques. Enjoy the peaceful bush setting as you gain insights into the region’s ecosystem.

Start the day with an early morning breakfast before heading out for a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is home to the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo—along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree while taking in the breathtaking scenery. If visiting between July and October, witness the great migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras cross from the Serengeti into the Mara, braving the crocodile-infested Mara River as predators wait in ambush.

Masai Mara is also a haven for bird lovers, with over 450 recorded species. Look out for the secretary bird, the heaviest flying bird, known for its striking appearance and unique hunting skills. Other notable birds include ostriches, vultures, lilac-breasted rollers, and a variety of raptors.

Day 3

On this day, you will depart for Nakuru after breakfast, enjoying a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at a viewpoint to admire the stunning landscapes. Upon arrival, check in for lunch at Lanet Matfarm before heading out for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its vast flocks of flamingos, which paint the shores pink, as well as its thriving population of white and black rhinos. As you traverse the park, watch for tree-climbing lions resting on acacia branches, leopards lurking in the undergrowth, and baboons playing along the trails. The park is also home to Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, and over 450 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. After an eventful day, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
