Game Drive Seeking for Africa's Big 5
Set on the Rift Valley floor in view of the snow-capped Rwenzori peaks, Queen Elizabeth National Park offers plenty of variety to safarigoers. On the Kasenyi and Ishasha Plains, large herds of Uganda kob, the national antelope, stand on constant guard for the lions that feed on them. Lakes Edward and George, together with the connecting Kazinga Channel, support around 5,000 hippos and an abundance of waterbirds, as well as being a magnet for thirsty elephant and buffalo herds.
After the game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will transfer by road to your accommodation near the Kibale National Park.

Track the Chimpanzees of Kibale
The opportunity to see chimpanzees in the wild is one of the most memorable of all safari activities. Getting close to these creatures that share so much of our DNA is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the excitement of walking through the forest and knowing that they are close will stay with you forever.
In the afternoon, you’ll go on a guided walk in the community-managed Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary bordering Kibale National Park. Here, you stand a good chance of spotting up to five monkey species. The forest birding is excellent, with a long list of colorful regulars that includes great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, yellow-spotted barbet and blue-throated roller.

Game Drive, Nile Safari Cruise
Your early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park will quickly become the favorite part of your safari day, with animals out and active. It is amazing how you will not grow tired of the game drive experience - no matter how often you go out. The Murchison Falls National Park is different in landscapes, plants, birds and animals compared to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your game drive, look out for the graceful giraffe, the colorful patas monkey (fastest monkey), the Abyssinian ground hornbill, and the beautiful white-crested turaco and red-headed lovebird.
In the afternoon, take a safari cruise on the Nile River all the way to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. The Nile is the world's longest river, and this is the only cruise of its kind the whole length of the river.
