You'll be picked up from the airport, and enjoy the scenery as you drive to Amboseli National Park which is about 260 km from Nairobi, towards the southwest, and on the border with the neighboring country of Tanzania. You will enjoy lunch at the lodge. Later, you will embark on a late afternoon game drive in the park in search of wildlife.

Explore Amboseli National Park

Explore Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will have a full-day exploration of the famous park. With a breathtaking backdrop of Mout Kilimanjaro, the topography of Amboseli comprises plains, woodlands, and rocky thorn bush as well as swamps and marshes. Amboseli has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro's ice cap, that make their way into the heart of the park as two clear water springs and swamps. The park is a host to a variety of wildlife among them leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, buffalos, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, crocodiles, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, lesser kudu, porcupines and over 400 bird species.

You will check out after breakfast, and enjoy the drive to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary which hosts the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge which for decades has been one of Kenya’s flagship lodges, famed for being among the World’s Most Photographed Lodges. A favorite amongst travelers in search of luxury accommodation, Salt Lick Safari Lodge is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains. You'll enjoy a late afternoon game drive in this sanctuary. In the evenings you may be able to see more animals as they come for a drink at the waterhole near the lodge.

You'll enjoy breakfast, check out, and drive to the Tsavo East National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the park home to most of the larger mammals, the red-skinned elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, lesser kudus, gerenuks, and hirolas. There are over 500 bird species in the park.
