Day 3

After an early breakfast, one of our representatives will take you to the airport for a flight in a sturdy bush plane to Selous. As soon as you arrive, you will spend a full day on a game drive in Selous Game Reserve. The reserve is one of the largest remaining wilderness areas in Africa. The reserve is crossed by the second biggest river in Tanzania, the Rufiji River, creating a dynamic ecosystem. Selous is home to over 350 species of birds and reptiles, about 2000 different plant species, and a wide range of wildlife, from the African bush elephant, hippopotamus, lion, Cape buffalo, Maasai giraffe, zebra, crocodile, and everything in between. The vehicle is an open four-wheel-drive safari jeep, perfectly suited for taking unobstructed pictures. The vehicles have low emission, making them less noisy, therefore, we can take you close-up to the wildlife. At the end of the day, you will check in at Africa Safari Selous.

After a good breakfast, the Bushman awaits you for a walk in the area and an explanation of flora and fauna. Lunch will be served in the restaurant, and later in the afternoon, a boat safari on the Rufiji River is on the program. At the end of this exciting day, you will have dinner and spend another night at Africa Safari Selous.

After breakfast, you will take a short ride to the airstrip and a domestic flight back to Zanzibar International Airport. Next, you will arrive at Zanzibar Bay Resort and check into a luxury room. You can enjoy Zanzibar Bay Resort and the ocean in the coming days and relax. You can venture out on one of the many excursions offered.

Enjoy the most magnificent beach with turquoise water and the most dramatic changes in the tide. Swim from the jetty when the tide is high and have endless beach walks during low tide. Sip a drink from the jetty bar, dive into the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean, or explore the underwater world surrounding the island by trying out a dive or snorkeling tour. Let time stand still before returning to your daily life.
