You will be picked up by a driver/guide from Gemfinders Safaris either at the airport or your hotel. After a brief introduction, you'll travel to Samburu National Reserve via the Nanyuki Isiolo road. Arriving in time for lunch, you'll check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Following lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you'll have your first opportunity to see the diverse wildlife in the park, including the rare Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk, as well as elephants, lions, cheetahs, and buffalo. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive, as this is the best time to spot wildlife while they are hunting or feeding on a kill. Many animals gather around water holes, salt licks, and shaded areas, and you will visit these spots for the finest game viewing. You’ll have the chance to see animals like elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a variety of antelopes, including the gerenuk, Grant's gazelle, and the unique reticulated giraffe. Samburu is also home to rare species like the Somali ostrich and Grevy’s zebra. Lunch will be served as a picnic in the park, allowing you to enjoy more time in the reserve surrounded by wildlife. Afterward, you'll continue exploring, capturing photos of the vast array of animals you encounter. The reserve is home to a variety of predators, and it's not uncommon to witness them hunting and capturing their prey. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 3
Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi City
Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi City
After breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive en route as you check out by 10:00 am. On your way back to Nairobi, you will have the opportunity to visit a Samburu village to experience the local culture and traditions of the Samburu people. This visit offers a fascinating glimpse into their way of life, including their vibrant customs, dances, and crafts. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. Depending on your schedule, you can visit the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in the heart of Nairobi, where you'll experience stunning aerial views of the city from one of Nairobi's tallest buildings. Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel in Nairobi or the airport to catch your next flight.
