Welcome to Tanzania!
Your Africa Joy Tours guide will be waiting for you at Kilimanjaro International Airport. We will then drive to your accommodation in Arusha (approximately a 1.5 hours’ drive, depending on traffic and time of arrival.) We will leave you to relax in the hotel for remainder of the day.

Day 2

Kilimanjaro Tour

The hike through the rain forest will be breathtaking as you come close to nature while making your body enjoy a nice walk without feeling too exhausted at the end. You will be in a position to see and hear birds singing in the bushes, monkeys jumping from tree to tree and the breathtaking landscape and vegetation on the slopes of the mountain.

This is a beautiful hike up through the lush rainforest where you may spot buffalos and colobus monkey. You will be escorted by a knowledgeable guide who will point out the different species of plants and animals until you reach a viewpoint. After a break and picnic lunch, you begin your descent back to the park gate, then the car will be there to take you back to the hotel.

Day 3

Materuni Coffe tour

Materuni Coffe tour

The tour starts with a walk to Materuni Waterfall. It is an opportunity to see how local fruit like avocados, mangos, lemons, and bananas grow, as well as learn some of the local history, traditions, village economy, agricultural and cultural life. When you get to the waterfall, you can refresh yourself in the natural pool, so swimsuits will come in handy!
The tour will continue with a visit to the local village lying in the coffee plantations. The villagers will demonstrate the process of coffee farming and guide you through the preparation of coffee from a bean to a cup. Sing and dance along with the Chaga people as they are grinding, roasting and boiling the beans. When the coffee is ready, villagers will serve lunch – a national Chagga meal. Then after you will be transferred back to the hotel in Arusha.

Maji Moto Tour

Located about 65km from Arusha, this is one of the most relaxing and fun tours for those who truly love water. Located in the desert of Boma, Kikuletwa Maji Moto (Swahili for “Hot Water”) Hotsprings is a great way to spend the afternoon swimming, resting and enjoying the scenery. Then after you will be transferred back to the hotel in Arusha.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The journey will take you through Arusha Town, and out to the open Masailand as you head to Tarangire National Park, about a 2 hours drive. On the way, you might see Masai grazing their cattle, goats, and sheep. The park covers an area of approximately 2,600 square kilometers and is famous for its huge number of elephants. Enjoy a full-day game drive with packed lunch at a picnic site. Dinner and overnight at Kizumba Public Campsite near Karatu.

Tarangire - Serengeti Plains

Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by per-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.

We do an after breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. Dinner and overnight at Seronrea Public Campsite in Serengeti.

After breakfast we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Public Campsite.

Lake Eyas - Arusha

Lake Eyas - Arusha

On this day we take you for early morning hunting with Bushmen including tuition on survival skills. Bushman is an indigenous tribe inhabits the area around Lake Eyasi, this tribe is divided into three clans of Hadzabe, Tindiga & Datoga “The black smith”.
The bushman leaves in hunting and gathering of eggs, fruits & tubers pretty much the same as people who lived during the Stone Age. Then late in the evening you will be transferred back to Arusha for Dinner and overnight at the booked hotel.
