You'll depart from Arusha at 7:30 am and head to Tarangire National Park, a drive of 2 to 2.5 hours (120 km) to the park entrance. Upon arrival, you will have a brief 10-minute break while your guide completes the necessary formalities at the park authority offices.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant population, impressive baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons, covering an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. You'll enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing with a picnic lunch overlooking the river. After the game drive, you will travel to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive up into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a chance to stop and see the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You will then transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti, entering the south of the park.
The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. Whilst it boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for its annual great migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest; zebras and antelopes move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The migration can be found during any given month; you just need to know where to look!

On this day, you will wake up early in the morning to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. After the game drive, you will proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah's ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It's one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhinos.
You will reach Ngorongoro in time for a sundowner and your accommodation will be at the crater rim.

Day 4

You will start the day early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful Hippo Lake. After lunch, you will have time for a short game drive. You'll ascend the crater, and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Arusha Town for your accommodation.

You'll enjoy the scenic journey to this renowned mining area, where you'll be captivated by the beauty of Tanzanite, a rare gemstone found only in this region. You will explore the mines, observe the extraction process, and interact with local miners and experts who will share insights into the formation and significance of Tanzanite. Immerse yourself in the rich history and cultural importance of this precious gem. This day-long tour offers a unique opportunity to see the birthplace of Tanzanite and appreciate its allure and rarity. Afterward, you will be dropped off at the airport or your accommodation in Arusha.
