Arusha to Ndutu

Today you have a long and rewarding drive ahead of you, as you make your way from Arusha region, through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Ndutu - South Serengeti. The road will take you through the Maasai homeland, the only communities people permitted to live in the Conservation area. Traditionally nomadic, the Maasai people are rich in culture and can often be seen herding their cattle in brightly colored traditional Maasai robes.

They live in complete harmony with the earth, using their long-ingrained family knowledge of plant life as a means for survival. Along the drive, you will be able to spot giraffes, zebras, and other animals. Prepare to be amazed when you catch your first glimpse of the endless plains of the Serengeti. Before you arrive at your accommodation, you will have already had your first taste of game driving. This afternoon you will enjoy the afternoon game drive until sunset.

Great Wildebeest Migration

After breakfast, today you will venture deeper into Ndutu where you will see the great wildebeest migration. December to March is the calving season when the wildebeest and zebra give birth to their offspring and it is highly likely you will see a live birth. This is also an excellent time to see predator action as lion and leopards prey on the young and vulnerable calves.

After picnic lunch you will proceed with game drive until evening, drive back to the camp for diner and overnight stay.

Ndutu to Arusha

Today you will wake up very early in the morning for a sunrise game drive after a quick cup of coffee/tea so as to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. The sunrise in the African savanna is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. Later afternoon, you will return back to the camp to take your belonging and start to exit the Conservation heading to Arusha City.
