When you land at OR Tambo Airport, you will be met by a representative from Aero Guest House who will transfer you to the hotel. There are no activities planned for today, but please enquire with us if you would like to do a day tour of Johannesburg.

Johannesburg to Klaserie Game Reserve

Aero Guest House will drop you off at the bus terminal at OR Tambo Airport to catch the 07:45am shuttle to the Greater Kruger Park. The shuttle will drop you off in the town of Hoedspruit, where a guide from nThambo Tree Camp will be waiting to meet you and transfer you the last of the way to camp. After checking in and putting your bags down, you can head out on your first afternoon shared game drive to look for animals.

Game drives in Klaserie Game Reserve

Wake up before dawn for the morning game drive, starting at sunrise. Savour a hot coffee and an early-morning snack before boarding the safari vehicle and departing the lodge in search of animals. Spend 3 hours traversing the bush and looking out for wildlife before they retreat to the shelter of a tree in the heat of the day.

After returning to the lodge for a delectable hot breakfast, you’ll have time to relax and unwind, surrounded by serene African wilderness. Lounge at the pool, delve into a captivating book, have a blissful nap, or simply soak up the sights, sounds and scents of nature. Bush walks are on offer for guests.

Afternoon tea is served before your next game drive, departing around 3:30 - 4:30 PM, depending on the time of year. Enjoy a sundowner stop in the bush. Dinner is served before you settle in for the night to the symphony of the wild.

Klaserie to Johannesburg

After your last shared morning activity (time permitting) and your final breakfast in the bush, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit to catch the shuttle back to OR Tambo Airport. You will arrive back in Johannesburg around 16:30.
