1-Day Ancient Bagamoyo City Day Tour

• You'll be collected from the airport.

9:00 AM: Start your day by visiting the Kaole Ruins, which are located a few kilometers outside of Bagamoyo. The ruins date back to the 13th century and were once an important Swahili trading center. You can explore the remains of mosques, tombs, and houses that give a glimpse into the area's past.

11:00 AM: Head back to Bagamoyo and visit the Old Fort, a historical site that was once a slave market and a place of confinement for slaves, today it serves as a museum.

12:30 PM: Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Bagamoyo has several restaurants that serve delicious seafood, Swahili dishes, and other local cuisine.

2:00 PM: Visit the Bagamoyo Arts and Crafts Centre, which features local artisans' work.

3:00 PM: Visit the Catholic Mission, which was established in the late 19th century and played an important role in education and healthcare in the region.

4:00 PM: Begin the one and half hour transfer back to Dar es salaam and be dropped at pickup point.
