Ngorongoro Crater
On this day you will rise early for breakfast before heading out to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the Crater floor, which spans 19.2 km in diameter, reaches a depth of 610 meters, and covers 304 sq km. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an impressive array of wildlife including black rhinos, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and various antelopes. The crater’s predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, are also commonly spotted. Lake Manyara National Park and Drive Back Arusha
Early in the Morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge and driven 60 km on a tarmac road with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park, covering 330 sq km (127 sq miles) at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Spend the afternoon exploring the park’s diverse habitats, which include five distinct vegetation zones. Lake Manyara is known for its large populations of lions, hippos, elephants, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, baboons, and both blue and vervet monkeys. The park is also a haven for bird enthusiasts with approximately 350 species recorded, including notable flocks of flamingos. Canoeing activities are available for an additional cost, offering a unique perspective of the park. Conclude your safari with a drop-off in Arusha or at the airport.
