Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning we will pick you up from your hotel/airport in Nairobi and drive through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. Lunch at the lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. The wild animals found in the parks are Masai giraffes, buffalos, elands, and thousands of plain games including impalas, zebras, and both Thomson’s and Grant's gazelles.

Masai Mara National Reserve

This full day will be spent viewing the great predators and exploring the park's amazingly high concentration of wild animals. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetahs and leopards hiding amidst acacia boughs. During the stay, you will also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After an early morning game drive in Masai Mara. Afterward, you will return to our camp/lodge for a full breakfast. Then, you will depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. We will drop you off at your place of convenience.
