Having met your guide and briefing, you start on the journey to Kibale National Park. he six to seven-hour journey goes via the rural towns of Mityana, Mubende and Kwenjojo and Fort POrtal through an attractive landscape of rolling hills with tea plantations and the Rwenzori Mountain chain on the background. Arrive check in at your lodge, and in the afternoon, visit the Bigodi community for a swamp walk or community tour.

Day 2

Drive: 223 Km | 5-6 Hours
Trekking to see the chimpanzees at Kibale Forest National Park can be exhilarating. While sighting them in dense forest can be challenging, here it’s not too dense and they sometimes come to the ground, to watch them cavorting in the tree tops, their all-too-human characteristics to the fore, makes this an exceptionally rewarding half-day excursion. After which we shall drive to Buhoma where we shall have a night. The drive goes through the Ishasha sector and Maramagambo forest and you can have a chance to sight some of the savanna big game on transit.

Day 3

To the Park offices: 10- 20 Minutes
Today provides the rare opportuity to meet mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Your guide will transfer you to the trail head after breakfast for briefing after which experienced guides and trackers will accompany you on an early morning trek through dense rain forests on the mountain slopes. Gorilla tracking may be fairly strenuous with treks ranging from two to six hours or longer at high altitudes through thick vegetation up steep slopes. Return and have a relaxed afternoon, dinner an overnight at your lodge. If it is early you can go for a walk to the Munyanga Falls at Bwindi (Buhoma).

Day 4

Back to Kampala or Entebbe

Drive: 507km| 9-10 hours
Last day! After your primate experience, we drive from Bwindi to Entebbe. It is a long but exciting journey about 9-10 hours with various land mark, landscapes and through interesting towns. You get to cross the equator at Kayabwe, before reaching Entebbe or Kampala late afternoon or evening.
Accommodation on this day is excluded but can be arranged at a cost.
