Nairobi to Masai Mara NR

You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by your driver for a departure to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve stopping at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and then have lunch at Narok. You will arrive at Mara in the afternoon, check in and have a short rest before you proceed to enjoy your afternoon game drive in the reserve which is famous for its high animal concentration, abundance, and variety. You will go in search of the Big Five with game drives across the grassy plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve before going back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Explore Masai Mara

You will spend the entire day at the reserve on a shared morning, afternoon, and evening game drives, searching for wild animals with an option to enjoy a balloon safari. You can carry a picnic lunch or have lunch at the camp.

Mara is the land of African legend, where lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra, and a variety of gazelles are abundant throughout the park. Cheetahs and leopards are regularly seen, but less frequently, rhinos. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September. When traveling during this timeframe, big animals and their predators are abundant. In addition, several species of bee-eaters, the flying rainbow that tops the list of birds found in the Mara, can be spotted.

As well as wildlife, the Masai Mara is home to the colorful Maasai tribe, who you will see around the park's borders. These Maasai warriors are called Morans. In the evening, you will return to the camp for your dinner and overnight stay.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

On your last day, wake up very early to prepare for the morning game drive in Maasai Mara. After the game drive, return to the lodge for a full breakfast, then depart for Nairobi by road. Lunch will be served en-route. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon.
