Day 1

: Arrival and Pickup/Transfer to hotel in Entebbe

On arrival, you will be picked by our tour guide at Entebbe International airport and will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe not far from the Airport. You will be given a brief about the safari. You will also be assisted to get forex services where necessary.

Day 2

Transfer to Jinja

Transfer to Jinja

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Sezibwa Falls in Jinja which flows from the wetlands between Lake Victoria and Lake Kyoga. Sezibwa Falls are about seven meters high and the sweet hissing sound created by the falling water forms beautiful scenery for watching, attracts bird species, and the beautiful compliment the hiking. The Sezibwa falls have a cultural and traditional bearing in the region and to the Baganda in particular due to the myths behind the formation of the Sezibwa River. You will proceed to Jinja after for a boat ride to the source of River Nile. You will have lunch and after enjoy horseback riding where you will view the village life of the surrounding communities, have beautiful views of River Nile, farmlands and plantations. You will return to the lodge after as you await dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Transfer to Sipi Falls Area

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sipi falls region. On arrival, you will enjoy lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon, you will go for a community tour and see how the locally grown Arabica coffee is processed. You will return to the lodge after.

Day 4

Hike to the waterfalls and Community Tour

After breakfast, you will set off for the highlight of the Sipi Falls safari where you will visit the three Sipi Falls. These are big water-falls and you will get a great view of them as well as get so close so you can hear the roar of water and feel the water splashing on you. You will return to the lodge for lunch and will enjoy an afternoon of relaxation after.

Day 5

Transfer to Moroto/Cultural Sights

Transfer to Moroto/Cultural Sights

After breakfast, you will leave the stunning views of Sipi Falls and start the journey to Moroto with an enroute game drive with in Pian Upe wildlife reserve where you will spot Zebras, Cheetahs, Cape Buffaloes, Jackals, Antelopes, and many more with in this fresh and less visited wildlife reserve in Uganda. After the beautiful experience in Pian Upe, you shall leave for Moroto town to continue our cultural experience with the Karimajong people. The drive to Moroto will give you great views of beautiful scenery in this part of Uganda.
On arrival in Moroto, check in to your accommodation.

Transfer to Kidepo NP/Game drives in the park and community tour

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kidepo National park in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills. Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions. You will enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners. You will have lunch and will continue with game-drives where you will see elephants, herds of buffaloes, jackals, Jackson’s hartebeest, klipspringer and possibly lions, leopard and cheetah. You will return to the lodge after for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive and Cultural tour of the Karimajong tribe

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring area crossing the sand river (if there is water in the sand river game-drive in another area). A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich. You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a visit to a willing community of Karimojong. You will discover the unique culture of this remote tribe with the Lorukul Cultural Group. Their main livelihood is herding livestock, and the social and cultural importance will be explained as you walk with the guides to the traditional Karamojong manyattas (homesteads), granaries and cattle enclosures. Learn how the villagers make their distinctive beads, sample the local cuisine, and learn the tribe’s folklore and beliefs. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. See their kraals, the grinding etc. Return to the lodge.

Day 8

In the morning, you will drive out of Kidepo Valley National Park possibly spotting some interesting sights as we exit and start the journey to Murchison Falls national park for the next adventure. This day we transfer through Uganda’s biggest town in the North, Gulu, and continue through the flat scenic landscape with local villages. It’s a long drive so we arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon. You will have lunch and relax at the lodge.

Game drives and boat ride

In the morning, you will set off for a game-drive in Murchison Falls national park. On the broad savannah, you will search for Big cats, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the circuits to the delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. In the afternoon, you will go for the 2pm boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you), Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. After the boat-cruise your guide picks you to head back to the lodge.
