The abundant water resources within Ngorongoro crater sustain a thriving population of over 25,000 mammals and reptiles. In a single day, it is possible to witness the iconic "big five" animals, along with other predators like leopards, jackals, and hyenas. The presence of black rhinos is noteworthy, and the park is also home to hippopotamuses, waterbucks, elephants, giraffes, and various types of gazelles. Exploring the park for wildlife is relatively easy due to its compact size, allowing for efficient sightings within a short timeframe.
