Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve

Your driver-guide will pick you from the airport or your city hotel for start of the safari, with a departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and on wards to Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. Stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley view point to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from the outer space. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch we will have an afternoon game drive which will allow spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park. This reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lion, cheetah and leopard. Bordering Tanzania, the Mara is in the northern extension of Serengeti and forms a wildlife corridor between the two countries. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Masai Mara Full Day

You will be taken on two game drives today, in the morning before breakfast and in the late afternoon. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. To bring more texture to your experience at the Mara, you may want to take advantage of several optional events we offer at an extra cost. Experience a visit to the local Masai people in their nearby village. Meet these indigenous people and see up close their ancient lifestyle and culture. Want an unforgettable sight? Take a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride high above the reserve as the morning light breaks across the golden savanah and witness the herds of wildlife emerging into the day. Your driver can arrange either of these optional excursions. Your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Masai Mara- Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast depart from the Mara through the Masai plains and the Mau escarpments into the floor of the Rift valley. Arrive in the flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. We will embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to viewpoints which offer superb photo opportunities. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes and its ecosystem supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.
