Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro or Arusha), you will be met by an Imani Excursions representative who will drive you to Arusha Planet Lodge in Arusha for an overnight stay. You will then wait for your adventures to start on the following day.

Day 2

Early in the morning, after breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha at around 07h30 (or according to your preferred time), you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately 2.5 hours. Tarangire National Park is famous for the largest African elephants, huge baobab trees, and the mini wildlife migration with more than 250,000 animals. It is one of the largest parks, with an area of more than 2,600 square kilometers.

You will also get a unique opportunity to see different animal species, such as large herds of impalas, elands, giraffes, buffaloes, Thompson’s gazelles and gerenuks. Other animals that you will encounter are wildebeests and zebras, leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetahs, which seem to be popular within the southern open areas. You will have a hot picnic lunch in the afternoon at around 12h30.

In the evening, you will drive to your lodge for refreshments, a well-prepared dinner, and overnight accommodations.

After breakfast, at around 08h00, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at a viewing point. After that, you will descend to the crater, which is 600 meters deep. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. It is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe.

On reaching the crater’s edge, the 20-kilometer diameter caldera opens up before you in all its stunning glory, and you will descend into the crater on an adventurous trail. This World Heritage Site is seasonally home to over 25,000 animals, including a wide range of bird species, hyenas and endangered black rhinos. A hot lunch will be served at a picnic spot at the hippo pool, and after that, you will drive to the heart of Serengeti National Park. You will have an en-route drive to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Serengeti National Park to Karatu

After breakfast, at around 08h00 or according to your preference, you will continue exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park for a half-day game drive. The Serengeti National Park is home to the largest concentration of wildlife than anywhere else on the planet.

The park offers a multitude of wildlife, including the Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. At around 12h30, a hot lunch will be served inside the park, along with soft drinks and unlimited drinking water.

You will have a final game drive until around 15h00 when you will drive to the gate and head for your accommodation in Karatu. You will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we will drive to Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural tour. Bustling with a variety of cultures from around Tanzania, the little town of Mto Wa Mbu lies at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. A local agricultural hub, the town is famous for its rice crops and the distinctive red bananas that Tanzania is known for.

A half-day tour of the town in the company of a local guide allows travellers to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen and painters. Sampling the local banana beer adds a unique taste of local flavour. This cross-cultural melting pot is home to approximately 120 tribes. After visiting the plantations and tasting a local beer, you will have a local lunch with fresh fruits from the village before you drive back to Arusha or the airport.
