Day 1

Your driver-guide will pick you up from the airport or your city hotel for the start of the safari, with a departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. You'll stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from outer space. You'll arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive which will allow spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park. This reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lions, cheetahs and leopards. Bordering Tanzania, the Mara is in the northern extension of Serengeti and forms a wildlife corridor between the two countries where the great migration of wildebeests takes place. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Exploring the Famous Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be taken on two game drives today, in the morning before breakfast and in the late afternoon. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. To bring more texture to your experience at the Mara, you may want to take advantage of several optional events we offer at an extra cost. You can experience a visit to the local Masai people in their nearby village. You'll meet these indigenous people and see up close their ancient lifestyle and culture. You can also take a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride high above the reserve as the morning light breaks. Your driver-guide can arrange either of these optional excursions. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3

After breakfast, you'll depart from the Mara through the Masai plains and the Mau escarpments into the floor of the Rift Valley. You'll arrive at the flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. You will embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to viewpoints that offer superb photo opportunities. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes and its ecosystem supports a wide ecological diversity with flamingos (greater and lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 4

You will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. You will then proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park, named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. Later in the evening, you will have a boat ride safari on Lake Naivasha at an extra cost. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. You will also visit Crescent Island. This is a private island on Lake Naivasha that rose to fame after the 1985 movie “Out of Africa” which showcased the beautiful nature of Lake Naivasha and its surrounding. It can be described as an animal sanctuary or simply a little paradise. The amazing thing is that you get to take a nature walk among these animals without fear of harm or danger. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.

One of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. On a clear evening, you can catch a view of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. This being a full day in the Amboseli, you will have the option of a full-day game drive or morning and afternoon game drives, as your safari is private your game drive timings are flexible. It is also convenient if you're travelling with children when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days. Amboseli is the home to great herds of elephants and with the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, it is a favourite spot for photographers. Also to be found in the Amboseli are herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, gazelles and many other wildlife. Lions and cheetahs can also be seen here. During clear days, you may also view the Majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the tallest mountain in Africa. There is also a chance to visit the local communities in their nearby villages at an extra cost. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, you’ll go for your final game drive in the park. You'll check out and then depart for Tsavo West National Park. You will check in at the lodge and have lunch before departing in the afternoon for a game drive. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out from the under-parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises open grasslands and belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra reed warbler. You will go on game-viewing drives at the Tsavo West with a stop at the Mzima Springs. Later, you'll proceed to Tsavo East National Park after breakfast in search of its popular residents. During the day, you will enjoy a packed lunch and a visit to the Aruba Dam. The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of the palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300-kilometer-long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust red elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, pods of hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, lesser kudu, gerenuks and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.
