You will have an early start with a quick cup of coffee. Then, board the open safari vehicle and head into Kruger National Park for your sunrise game drive. You'll travel through bushveld areas and probably along the river looking for the Big 5 species (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo). The Sabie River is a dominant feature of Southern Kruger, and travelling along the banks can be exciting.

After about 3 hours, stop at a camp where your guide will provide breakfast packs and allow you time to relax. Continue on the mid-morning drive, visiting any top sightings reported for the day. Around lunchtime, you'll stop for refreshments, browse the curio shop, and then continue with the afternoon drive, which finishes back at Sabie River Bush Lodge.

You can swim or relax, then enjoy sundowners on the deck overlooking the Sabie River, with one of the best photo opportunities "on safari in Africa". Join your guide for dinner in the licensed restaurant with the menu for the day.

While travelling north, you can expect to see more grasslands near Tshokwane, where you will have a stop. Your guide will check the sightings board and set off for the second morning drive towards Central Kruger Park and some popular waterholes.

Around lunchtime, you'll arrive at Satara and check into an air-conditioned chalet with screens over the windows to prevent unwanted insects. Explore the camp which has a pool, large shop, deli-café and main restaurant. Note that the Wi-Fi signal is limited in this area.
