Johannesburg – Arathusa Safari Lodge

Departing from the Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 7:00 am, the route from Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga is negotiated in about 6 hours. It takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld.

You will stop for snacks and refreshments along the way and reach the lodge around midday.

Freshen up after the long drive before it is time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner will be served in the boma under the stars.

Morning and afternoon open-vehicle safari drives

You will wake up early and have a hot beverage and rusks before departing on a sunrise game drive.

You will return to the lodge for brunch and can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool, in the lounge area or exploring within the confinement of the lodge. Your afternoon game drive will commence at about 4:00 pm, to return in time for a starlit dinner in the boma.

Arathusa Safari Lodge – Johannesburg

You wake up early again for a hot beverage and rusk, before departing on your last morning game drive in the reserve.

After witnessing another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing mid-morning on your return journey to Johannesburg.

You will arrive at your destination in the late afternoon, at approximately 5:00 pm.
