Johannesburg to Elephant Plains Game Lodge

Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport Bus Terminal by 7:00am, you travel via the N4 motorway eastwards through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga and down the escarpment to the scenic Lowveld until you reach the reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park.

During the six-hour drive, you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around mid-day.

You can freshen up and relax before departing with a guide on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Back at the lodge, a scrumptious dinner in a friendly ambience will await you.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge Open Vehicle Safari Drives

You will rise early and be served a selection of hot beverages and rusks before departing on your 3-hour morning game drive, with the sun rising in the east.

On return to the lodge, you can enjoy a late breakfast and choose to spend the rest of the day at the pool, library or lazing around.

Your afternoon open vehicle game drive with an expert guide will commence at about 4:00pm. Return to the lodge in time for a starlit dinner.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge to Johannesburg

Rise early again, enjoy a hot beverage and rusks, and say goodbye to the bush during a last morning game drive.

After enjoying a last African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point at approximately 5:00pm.
