Drive from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

On day 1 of this tour, you will depart from Dar es Salaam and drive to Nyerere National Park. The journey will take you through the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Once you arrive at the park, you will check in at your lodge and have the rest of the day to relax and explore the surroundings.

Full Game Drive at Nyerere Np

On Day 2 of the tour, visitors will embark on a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. They will have the opportunity to see various wildlife species such as elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and many more in their natural habitat. The walking safari will allow visitors to explore the park on foot and get a more intimate experience of the park's flora and fauna. With an expert guide, visitors will learn about the various plants and animals they come across.

Walking Safari & Boat Trip

After Breakfast accompany with an armed ranger on a walking safari in the reserve. The sight and sounds (and smell) of a walking are special treat that will live long in your memory the thrill of creeping up to animals to shoot them with your camera is a great experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari where you will explore the different channels and lakes of the Rufiji River System, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. A large variety of herons, storks, ducks and other water birds may be seen. And you will also see land mammals, such as giraffe and elephant.

Day four of this tour involves a scenic drive from Nyerere National Park to Ruaha National Park. On the way, you will have a chance to enjoy stunning landscapes and see local villages. Upon arrival at Ruaha National Park, you will settle into your accommodation and have time to relax before embarking on your wildlife adventure the next day.

On day 6 of the 6-day Nyerere and Ruaha Safari, you will drive back from Ruaha National Park to Dar es Salaam. After breakfast, you will start the journey, passing through picturesque landscapes and rural villages along the way. The drive is long and will take up most of the day, but it is a great opportunity to soak in the scenery and reflect on your safari experience. You will arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening, marking the end of your Southern Tanzania Safari adventure.
