Day 1

Arusha-Tarangire National park

Arusha-Tarangire National park

On the first day of your safari you will be picked at the airport or any agreed meeting point with one of our representative and transfer you to Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a packed lunch.
Tarangire is the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry Tarangire river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It's the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. On drier ground you may find the stocking-thighed ostrich, the world's largest bird; and small parties of ground hornbills blustering like turkeys. Other birds include the yellow-collared lovebird, drabber rufous-tailed weaver and the ashy starling and later in the afternoon drive back to your reserved accommodation.

Main Destination:
Tarangire National Park
Best Time To Visit July to November (Animals come to the Tarangire River)

Lake Manyara National park

Lake Manyara National park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National park where we will enjoy a morning game drive in search of the tree climbing lions and other wildlife found in this small, scenic ornithological paradise. Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain and its expansive views eastward, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes- some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance. Enjoy our packed lunch at a strategic location, and later in the afternoon drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit June to October (Easier to spot animals)
High Season July to March (The northern section gets crowded)
